How do you score a YAHTZEE?
Get all five dice on the same face within your three rolls, then assign them to the YAHTZEE row for 50 points — the highest fixed single-category award in this game. Hold matching dice between rolls. This version scores YAHTZEE only in that category (50 points); there is no extra bonus Yahtzee chip beyond the upper-section bonus.
What is the upper section bonus?
Add Aces through Sixes. If that upper total is 63 or more, you earn a 35-point bonus. Roughly three of each number (for example three 4s = 12) reaches the threshold. Missing the bonus often costs more than a zeroed lower row later.
Any strategy tips for higher Yahtzee scores?
