How do you play Yahtzee Dice?
Each turn you may roll five dice up to three times, holding any dice you want to keep. Then you must score one of the 13 categories. After 13 turns every category is filled and the grand total (upper + optional +35 bonus + lower) is your score. Aim for 200+ for a solid run and 300+ for a great one.
How do you score a YAHTZEE?
Get all five dice on the same face within your three rolls, then assign them to the YAHTZEE row for 50 points — the highest fixed single-category award in this game. Hold matching dice between rolls. This version scores YAHTZEE only in that category (50 points); there is no extra bonus Yahtzee chip beyond the upper-section bonus.
What is the upper section bonus?
Add Aces through Sixes. If that upper total is 63 or more, you earn a 35-point bonus. Roughly three of each number (for example three 4s = 12) reaches the threshold. Missing the bonus often costs more than a zeroed lower row later.

Protect the upper bonus early when you can bank three-of-a-kind faces. Use Chance as a soft dump for awkward high totals. Take a zero on a hard lower row (like Large Straight) rather than wrecking upper numbers you still need. Hold pairs/trips aggressively when hunting YAHTZEE or Full House (25).

Does a five-of-a-kind also count as a Full House?
No. Full House is a fixed 25 only when the five dice are a three-of-a-kind plus a pair (3+2). Five of a kind scores 50 in the YAHTZEE row, or the sum of the dice in Three/Four of a Kind or Chance — not 25 in Full House. This version also has no extra Yahtzee bonus chips after the first 50.
How do Small and Large Straights score in Yahtzee Dice?
A Small Straight (any run of four, e.g. 2-3-4-5) scores a fixed 30 points; a Large Straight (1-2-3-4-5 or 2-3-4-5-6) scores a fixed 40. They pay the same whatever the dice total — so do not waste a big mixed roll on Chance if a straight box is still open.
