Two minutes (120 seconds) on a fresh 4×4 grid. The timer starts when you begin; when it hits 0 the round ends and your found-word list is scored. There is no extra time for long words — bank short valid words early, then hunt 7–8 letter gems.

3 letters = 1, 4 = 2, 5 = 4, 6 = 8, 7 = 14, and 8 or more = 20. Duplicate words do not score twice. Diagonals count, but each tile can be used only once per word.

Words of 6+ letters trigger a bonus banner on top of their points — 6 letters show 'GREAT WORD!' and 7+ show 'BRILLIANT!'. An 8-letter word scores the max 20 points plus the banner, and the +points popup turns gold once a word is worth 8 or more, so chaining long words is how rounds jump past 100.
