What happens when I use REVEAL?
REVEAL fills in all letters of your current word — great when you are stuck. It costs 20 points per reveal, so use it sparingly to protect your score.

How many crossword puzzles are there, and how big is the grid?
Three fixed 7×7 minis: Animals, Food, and Space. Tap NEXT after a solve to rotate. They are not randomly generated and not 9×9 — every device sees the same three grids.
How is the score calculated in Crossword Mini?
CHECK awards 10 points per letter in a correctly completed word. Finishing the whole grid adds 500. REVEAL costs 20, so a clean Animals/Food/Space run without reveals is the high-score path.
Does NEXT keep my score, and is this a new daily puzzle?
NEXT rotates Animals → Food → Space (same three 7×7 grids every device) and resets score to 0. Not a generated daily crossword. CHECK pays 10 per letter of a correct word; full grid +500; REVEAL −20 (floor 0).

Does Crossword Mini auto-check my letters as I type?
No — nothing turns green until a word is actually complete. The moment you type the last letter of a word, it auto-checks: correct words light up, pay 10 points per letter, and flash the answer; wrong letters stay silently gray until you use CHECK or REVEAL. That's why a full grid finish pays 500 only when every word was right, and mistakes hide until checked.
