Each level gives you 5 undos and 3 hints. Undo reverses your last move; the hint button highlights a safe tube-to-tube move. Both are limited per level, so save them for genuinely stuck moments rather than spending them early.
Are Ball Sort levels always solvable?
Yes — every level is built backwards from a solved board using only legal moves, so a solution always exists. Levels are also deterministic: level 12, for example, always produces the same layout, so you can restart and beat it with what you learned. Difficulty ramps from 2 colors and 3 tubes in early levels to 5 colors and 6 tubes from level 31.
How many balls fit in a tube, and how is the score calculated?
Each tube holds 4 balls. Extra empty tubes = tubes − colors (1 empty early, still 1 at 5 colors / 6 tubes). Completing a level adds 1 to score. Capacity and empty tubes never change with level — only color/tube counts do.
Can two players play Ball Sort?
No — one player. Levels are infinite and seeded (same number = same layout). 5 undos and 3 hints reset each level. Free in the browser, tap tubes, no download.
Can I move a whole stack at once, and can a ball sit on a different color?
No — only the top ball moves, one at a time. Drop it on an empty tube or onto a matching top color; a different color is illegal even if the tube still has space. Hints prefer a same-color landing over parking on an empty spare. Eight palette colors exist, but play only ramps to 5 colors / 6 tubes from level 31.
When do Ball Sort levels get harder?
Difficulty steps up by level range: levels 1–5 use 2 colors and 3 tubes, 6–15 use 3 colors and 4 tubes, 16–30 use 4 colors and 5 tubes, and from level 31 on you get the full 5 colors and 6 tubes. Every tube holds 4 balls, so later levels fill more of the board while the 5 undos and 3 hints per level stay the same.
