What is the best opening strategy in Reversi?
Aim for the corners early — corner squares can never be flipped and anchor strong positional control. Avoid placing discs next to corners early, as that can hand the AI a corner advantage. Edge control is the second priority.

What happens if I have no legal move in Reversi?
You pass automatically and the AI plays again. The same applies in reverse. The game only ends when neither side has a legal move (usually a full 8×8 board). Disc count at that moment decides the winner — most discs wins.
How big is the Reversi Classic board and who plays which color?
Standard 8×8 Othello board (64 squares). You play cyan discs; the AI plays purple. The game opens on the classic four-center setup. Default difficulty is Medium (3-ply minimax); the AI thinks 400ms on Easy, 700ms on Medium, and 1000ms on Hard.

Can I place a disc on any empty square in Reversi Classic?
No. A move is legal only if it sandwiches at least one purple AI disc between your new cyan disc and another cyan disc, in any of the eight directions (orthogonal and diagonal). Empty squares without a flip stay unhighlighted and cannot be played. Corners never flip once taken because nothing sits beyond them.
